About Us

Founded by recently retired IBM executive, Liz Sauter, Simply Great Work is structured to provide any organization of any size, with highly skilled, deeply experienced professional personnel on a contract basis.

With an extensive background in the corporate world, Liz has managed complex IT projects, consulted with clients that were re-engineering their business processes, worked on e-business solutions in the financial industry, created e-learning solutions and implemented a global campus using state of the art technologies. Before launching her own company, Liz was the head of IBM Canada's Corporate Citizenship.

Ms. Sauter brings these wide ranging business experiences and the resulting extensive array of professional industry contacts to Simply Great Work ... and makes this valuable resource available to any firm that has a requirement for defined term professional assistance.

Liz Sauter - Managing Director

Liz won the Golden Circle Marketing award at IBM Canada and in 1999 was named Wired Woman of the Year in recognition of her personal leadership in both the IT industry and in the volunteer work she performed in the community.

Profiled in the book entitled, "Technology with Curves - Women Reshaping the Digital Landscape", published in 2000, and appeared on Rogers TV in an educational series called "On Patrol with Toronto Police" as elected co-chair of the Community Police Liaison Committee.

She created the "Youth in Action" program in the Chester Le Community, contributed to the research of the Hot Docs film "Clubland" and played a role in the 2009 film.

She has been a guest lecturer at Ryerson, facilitated a group of top IT university students at the 2003 Canadian University Technology Conference Annual Think Tank Event and has spoken about the Future of Learning at conferences across North America.

Her multi-faceted community leadership work earned her the John Herra Memorial Award by the Toronto Police Services in 2009. Liz continues to educate about what can be accomplished in communities through partnerships.

Her hobbies include running, cycling, swimming, yoga and equestrian sports. She is a former triathlete, marathoner and Ironman.
